use symbols!
1. Before the lords (knights) go off to fight, they must free their serfs.
2. Have a group in Jerusalem (in the middle ) tell them the importance!
3. Have a pope decree the forgiveness of Sins if they go off and fight.
4. When Knights reach Jerusalem have them exchange Swords for ideas.
5. Bring back ideas and spread 1 or two .
- 1 pope
- 4 Knights - Each with 2 Serfs (They Pick)
- 3 kings
- 2 people represent major trade areas - flounders and city of venice
- 4 people in Jerusalem
- 8 Turks
Have the group of knights go fight the crusades. As the Turks take their weapons, they get back ideas (Swords/Shields - in exchange for Books... Algebra... Science...).
They go back and trade begins to grow, those ideas spread.
